What is the ruling on suicide for a young man suffering from a heart condition and despairing of life?

Suicide is forbidden, no matter the reason, and it is not a solution to problems. The solution to problems lies in patience, reliance on Allah, seeking His help, submitting to His decree, and knowing that what has afflicted a person was not meant to miss him, and what missed him was not meant to afflict him. It also lies in adhering to Allah's commands and prohibitions. Piety and righteous deeds relieve a person from his distress and ward off worries, instead of suicide, which brings him great woe and severe torment.
