What is the ruling on using the temporary nose reduction injection, which lasts for one year, given that it negatively affects the questioner's psychological state?

Cosmetic procedures are divided into two types: permissible and forbidden. Permissible cosmetic procedures are those performed to remove a defect or prevent harm, such as correcting a crooked nose or treating strabismus. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, indicated their permissibility. As for forbidden cosmetic procedures, they are those performed merely for enhancement and increasing beauty. This includes narrowing the nose if there is no defect in it. The ruling does not change based on the procedure's temporary nature, as plucking eyebrows (al-namṣ) is forbidden despite its effect not being permanent. The most important thing is contentment with Allah's decree, for a person's true value lies in their piety and obedience.
