Is participating in unified prayer in Iraq considered jihad worthy of reward, and is one who is killed during it considered a martyr?

Some contemporary scholars have considered peaceful demonstrations, protests, rallies, and sit-ins, regulated by Islamic law, for demanding legitimate rights, as a form of jihad. Sheikh Dedew believes that we cannot be prevented from engaging in jihad altogether. Instead, we must initiate what we can, such as donating money to Palestinians, supplicating for them, drawing attention to their cause, and mobilizing the public to pressure rulers to take positive steps, like demonstrations and journalistic writings. All of this is considered jihad and support for the sacred cause. And whoever is unjustly killed while performing these legitimate actions is considered a martyr by many scholars.
