What is the ruling on one who swore by divorce to leave an apartment but did not specify a time for departure – does the divorce take effect if he does not leave?

If a man swears an oath of divorce conditioned on doing something, and he does not specify a time, then the divorce does not occur until he becomes unable to perform the sworn-upon action, even if a long time passes. The condition does not necessitate a specific time, and what is made conditional upon it occurs at leisure. However, if one of the spouses dies, the oath is broken at that point, as it is impossible to enact a divorce after death.
