Is it permissible for a veiled woman to wear makeup and perfume, soften her speech, and laugh with officials at work, especially if she is in need of the job and finds it difficult to find employment due to her commitment?

A Muslim woman must comply with Allah Almighty's command to wear the legal hijab, and not to lighten it or go out adorned or perfumed for employment as long as she is not compelled to do so. Poverty with chastity is better than wealth with immodesty and display. "And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out and will provide for him from where he does not expect." One must remember standing before Allah and being questioned about neglecting His religion, and beware of sudden death. Filial piety can be achieved by obeying parents, treating them kindly, and serving them.
