This principle applies to all permissible acts, such as eating, sleeping, and fulfilling one's needs. Everything that preserves the body and assists it in religious matters can be an act of proximity to Allah Almighty if the Muslim intends thereby to strengthen themselves for worship or to safeguard their religion.
