Is the exchange of retweets in mixed groups on Twitter, which are managed by an administrator and in which "casual conversations" sometimes occur, unlawful (haram)?

The Islamic faith seeks to protect society and promote virtue, and therefore, it has set restrictions on the relationship between men and women to prevent fitna (strife/temptation). Mixed-gender online groups where both sexes exchange conversations (chat) are a likely source of fitna and corruption and must be avoided. Reality has proven that unnecessary electronic communication between the sexes is a primary cause of many social problems.
