Is it necessary that everything I like or think of will be ruined if I don't say, "Allahumma barik (O Allah, bless it)"?

If something about yourself, your wealth, or your brother impresses you, pray for it to be blessed, and say: "Masha'Allah, la quwwata illa billah (What Allah wills, there is no power except with Allah)." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If any of you sees something in himself, his wealth, or his brother that he admires, let him pray for it to be blessed, for the evil eye is true." It is wise to lower one's gaze from the possessions of others and to seclude oneself from people as much as possible. It is recommended for someone known to afflict others with the evil eye to be avoided and to stay home; if he is poor, he will be provided with what suffices him. Frequently ask Allah to remove what afflicts you, and when leaving the house, recite the reported supplication: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from going astray or being led astray, from slipping or being made to slip, from oppressing or being oppressed, and from acting ignorantly or being treated ignorantly."
