What is the reason for things being afflicted by my evil eye, whether I like them or not, despite my diligence in saying: "Masha'Allah, Tabarakallah, La Ilaha Illallah, Allahu Akbar"? Are there any additional ذكر (remembrances) or actions that would prevent things from being afflicted by my evil eye?

Among the beneficial remedies for one afflicted by the evil eye are: supplicating for blessings and saying: "There is no might or power except with Allah." The Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged anyone who sees something that impresses them to invoke blessings upon it, for the evil eye is real. Invoking blessings means saying: "O Allah, bless him," or "Blessed be Allah, the Best of creators, O Allah, bless it." Whoever does so will not be harmed, by Allah's will. And saying: "What Allah wills, there is no strength except with Allah," repels the evil eye. The "Hawqalah" (saying "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah") is among the remembrances recited when a person falls into ruin, or illness, or when something impresses them and they fear afflicting it with the evil eye. It is also advised to stay away from obsessive thoughts, to lower one's gaze from what others possess, and to be present in heart when supplicating. For supplication is like a weapon, and its effect depends on the righteousness of the supplication, the presence of the supplicant's heart, and the absence of impediments to its answer.
