What is the ruling on emigrating to a non-Muslim country to marry a Muslim woman residing there?

If a man travels to the lands of the disbelievers for marriage and then returns with his wife to reside in the lands of the Muslims, there is no harm in that. However, residing in the lands of the disbelievers is not permissible except out of necessity or dire need, and then only with specific conditions and controls.
