Is it permissible to use profits from the sale of alcohol to pay taxes or to give in charity, if the sale of alcohol is essential for the success of the store in a foreign country?

It is not permissible to sell alcohol out of a desire to increase store sales, because Allah has forbidden its consumption, and the Messenger Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, has forbidden its sale, as he said: "Indeed, Allah and His Messenger have forbidden the sale of alcohol, dead meat, and pigs." The desire to increase sales is not an excuse to permit what is forbidden, for committing forbidden acts is dependent on necessity, and there is no necessity here. Allah does not bless what is forbidden, even if it is abundant, as He Almighty said: "And whatever you give for interest to increase thereby the wealth of people, it will not increase in the sight of Allah. But whatever you give in charity, desiring the countenance of Allah - those are the multipliers."
