Is it permissible to pay a debt valued in Palestinian Shekels with its equivalent in Jordanian Dinars, even if there is a slight difference that the creditor offers to return to the debtor?

The basic principle in religion is that a debt should be repaid in the same manner it was borrowed, without increase or decrease. It is permissible to repay a debt with a different type of currency if both parties agree to that on the day of repayment, at the exchange rate of that same day, provided they do not part ways while anything remains between them. This ruling is based on the hadith of Abdullah ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with both of them: "There is no harm in taking them at their current day's price, as long as you do not part ways while anything remains between you."
