How do jinn cohabit with humans and enter them, given the difference in the two realms and the matter from which each was created?
The jinn live with us in the same world and intermingle with humans in their dwellings, entering their homes and sharing their food, wealth, children, markets, and mosques. As for the marriage of jinn to humans, it is logically possible due to the jinn's ability to shapeshift, but most scholars do not consider it permissible due to شرعية (Shar'i) and practical impediments. Allah has created jinn with the ability to intermingle with humans, as well as to enter into humans, which is a confirmed and tangible matter, as stated in the Almighty's saying: "Those who consume interest will not stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity" (Al-Baqarah: 275), and according to the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, Satan flows through the son of Adam like blood" (Narrated by Muslim). The jinn see us from where we do not see them, as they shapeshift into small forms to enter the human body through any opening.
