What is the ruling on saying: "Would that Allah had not created farewell"?

It is permissible for a Muslim to wish for their non-existence or for not having been created, and this is more permissible than wishing to alter Islamic rulings. Ibn Hajar explicitly stated the permissibility of wishing to alter rulings or for them not to have been legislated. Despite this permissibility, a Muslim should not preoccupy themselves with such thoughts.
