Is it permissible to uncover the face and remove the hijab to visit one's husband in prison?

It is not permissible for a woman to uncover her head or any other part of her body, except for her face and hands, in front of non-mahram men, according to the consensus of scholars. However, if there is a necessity for her to visit her husband, such as fearing falling into forbidden acts, and meeting him privately is possible, and the visit only allows for uncovering her face and head, then in this case, it is permissible to uncover only to the extent of the necessity, in order to avert the lesser of two harms. If there is no necessity, then it is not permissible for her to uncover her hair or face for the sake of the visit, and she must be patient and seek help from Allah.
