What is the interpretation of the Noble Verse: "And We raised him to a high station," and what is the evidence for that from the Book and the Sunnah?

Idris (peace be upon him) was a noble prophet and messenger. Allah praised him in the Qur’an, stating that he was "a man of truth, a prophet" and "We raised him to a high station." Interpreters differed on the meaning of "raising"; some said it was a "spiritual raising," meaning the exaltation of his prophetic status, while others said it was a "physical, real raising" to a high place. The most probable interpretation of "and We raised him to a high station" is what is mentioned in the Hadith of the Isra and Mi'raj (Night Journey and Ascension), where Idris (peace be upon him) was found in the fourth heaven, and this does not contradict his exalted prophetic status.
