And have any narrations been reported from the Ahl al-Bayt regarding the virtues of Aqeeq and its spiritual and medicinal benefits?
None of the narrations mentioned regarding the virtue of wearing an 'Aqiq ring have been authenticated; rather, scholars have judged them to be fabricated. Ibn al-Jawzi included them in Al-Mawdu'at (The Fabricated Hadith), and Al-Sakhawi said: "The hadith 'Wear an 'Aqiq ring' is also not authentic; all its chains of transmission are weak."
