To what extent is it true that the Aqeeq stone is among the best stones in the sight of Allah, due to its precedence over other stones in affirming the Oneness of Allah, the prophethood of Muhammad, and the Wilayah of Ali, and that its wearer attains reward, has his prayers answered, and his needs fulfilled, and that two rak'ahs performed with an Aqeeq ring are equivalent to a thousand rak'ahs, and that it dispels poverty, provides protection, and brings blessings, and that whoever engraves upon it the names of the Infallibles and takes it into the grave will be safe from the compression of the grave? And have any narrations been reported from the Ahl al-Bayt regarding the virtues of Aqeeq and its spiritual and medicinal benefits?

None of the narrations mentioned regarding the virtue of wearing an 'Aqiq ring have been authenticated; rather, scholars have judged them to be fabricated. Ibn al-Jawzi included them in Al-Mawdu'at (The Fabricated ), and Al-Sakhawi said: "The hadith 'Wear an 'Aqiq ring' is also not authentic; all its chains of transmission are weak." The heretical nature and contradiction to reason and Islamic law inherent in these statements are not hidden.
