It is recommended for both men and women to shave their pubic hair, and it is disliked to leave it for more than forty days. It is sunnah for a man, upon entering his wife, to pray two rak'ahs, then to take hold of her forelock and ask Allah for her good and seek refuge in Him from her evil. The two rak'ahs should be prayed audibly if performed at night, and silently if performed during the day.
