What is entailed for someone who intended to pray Dhuhr by mistake instead of Jumu'ah after the Imam's opening Takbir, and is it legislated for him to قطع (cut short/interrupt) the prayer and renew his intention for Jumu'ah prayer?

Intention (niyyah) is a condition or a pillar for the validity of prayer, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Deeds are only by intentions." The prayer must be specified; thus, whoever intends to perform the Friday prayer must have the intention for it. If a worshipper intended the Dhuhr prayer instead of the Friday prayer and remembered during the prayer, they must interrupt it and restart it with the intention for the Friday prayer. It is not permissible to change the intention during the prayer, because that invalidates the first prayer and does not validate the second. They must also make up the Dhuhr prayer if the Friday prayer was not valid, because whoever is obligated to perform the Friday prayer cannot validly perform the Dhuhr prayer unless they missed the Friday prayer. This is the view of the majority.
