Dying while fasting is a sign of a good ending. Whoever fasts a day seeking the countenance of Allah, with it he will be granted entry into Paradise. If doctors determine that fasting harms a patient, there is no sin upon them for breaking their fast. A patient whose fasting increases their illness, delays their recovery, or causes them severe hardship is permitted to break their fast. If a patient dies due to their illness and was unable to make up for the missed fasts, there is no make-up required of them. However, if they missed fasts while able to make them up, then fell ill and died, it is permissible to fast on their behalf, but it is not obligatory. There is no prohibition against seeing the deceased in a dream; it could be a true vision, from Satan, or due to excessive thinking.
