How can one respond to those who claim that the immodestly dressed women of the present age are not referred to in the hadith: "Two types of people from the dwellers of Hell I have not seen... women who are dressed yet naked...", on the pretext that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, lived among immodestly dressed women, so how could he say "I have not seen them"?

Adorning oneself excessively (tabarruj) is forbidden by Islamic law. There is no evidence that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saw women who adorned themselves excessively during his time. In fact, historical reality confirms the prevalence of the hijab and the scarcity of tabarruj and unveiling at that time. Muslims have unanimously agreed on the necessity for women to veil themselves and to remain in their homes unless necessary. This practice continued until the middle of the fourteenth century AH. Furthermore, the prophetic hadith about two types of people from the inhabitants of Hell, "whom I have not seen," means that they did not exist in his era due to the purity of that time.
