A disobedient person must sincerely repent, fulfilling its conditions, and not despair of God's mercy if they relapse into sin; rather, they should renew their repentance. Among the greatest means of steadfastness are: performing the obligatory duties and increasing in supererogatory acts, attending gatherings of remembrance (dhikr) and knowledge, seeking a trustworthy shaykh, memorizing the Quran with understanding its meanings, accompanying the righteous, and striving in supplication. Let it be known that steadfastness and perseverance in obedience require patience and striving.
