What is the ruling of Sharia regarding an uncle who conceals his brother's inheritance from his nephews and seeks a general power of attorney to search for it without disclosing its location or amount? And is it permissible to sue him according to Sharia without falling into the sin of severing kinship ties?

The questioner has the right to demand his due and his inheritance from his father through the religious court. This is not considered a severing of kinship ties; rather, his uncle is the one who severed kinship by taking his right. Nevertheless, he must continue to maintain kinship ties and not sever them. Allah will be his helper as long as he remains steadfast in this, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If you are as you say, then you are feeding them hot ashes, and you will continue to have a helper from Allah against them as long as you remain in that state."
