If the heirs are limited to those mentioned: the wife, the daughter, and the sons of brothers, then the man's estate is distributed as follows: The wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of a lineal descendant heir. What remains after the wife's and daughter's shares goes to the male sons of brothers by way of ta'sib (residuary inheritance), and it is divided equally among them if they are of the same degree (full brothers or paternal half-brothers).

However, if some of the sons of brothers are full brothers and others are paternal half-brothers, then the paternal half-brothers' sons are completely excluded by the full brothers' sons.
