Is it permissible for a man to practice coitus interruptus with his wife during her menstrual period if he fears having intercourse with her out of lust during that time?

Enjoying from a menstruating woman what is above the navel and below the knee is permissible by text and consensus. As for vaginal intercourse, it is forbidden by text and consensus. Scholars have differed regarding enjoyment of what is between the navel and the knee, other than the front and back passages. The correct view is that it is permissible, based on the Hadith of Anas: "Do everything except intercourse." However, if the husband fears exceeding the permissible limits and falling into the forbidden, he must avoid her, due to the Almighty's saying: ﴿So keep away from women during menstruation﴾ [Al-Baqarah: 222]. We advise against enjoying a menstruating wife if it will lead to what is impermissible.
