What should I do about my father who antagonizes me and hits me because I refuse to commit something forbidden, speaks ill of the religion, and hates talking to me?

May Allah reward you for your eagerness to adhere to the Sharia. You did well by not obeying your father in what he commanded you to do of the forbidden act, for there is no obedience in disobeying Allah. Obedience is only in what is right. We advise you to be patient with him, to pray for his well-being, to be kind to him in every possible way, and to seek the mediation of virtuous people to reconcile between you.
