Do the economic circumstances that compel governments, institutions, and individuals to deal with usurious banks, in the absence of a permissible alternative to manage essential life affairs, lift the sin from those who engage in such dealings or make the banks' earnings permissible? And does the reality of the situation in this regard align with the Prophetic Hadith: "There will come a time upon the believer when he will inevitably be afflicted by a splash of usury"?
Usury is a grave sin for which Allah has declared war from Him and His Messenger. The Prophet (peace be upon him) cursed the one who consumes it, the one who provides it, the one who writes it down, and its two witnesses. The prohibition of usury does not mean abandoning essential work or resigning, as there is no hardship in religion. The Prophet informed that usury would become widespread, so much so that its dust would affect even those who did not consume it. If the bank's return means usurious interest, then it is unanimously forbidden. As for deducting installments from your salary without your consent, you are not sinful for it, but you must dispose of the usurious interest obtained from it.
