What is the authenticity of the phrase "in congregation" in the Hadith "Whoever prays Fajr in congregation, he is in the protection of Allah"? And does this merit include one who prays Fajr at its appointed time individually?

The aforementioned hadith is authentic, and its wording is: "Whoever prays Fajr in congregation, he is under the protection of Allah. And whoever violates Allah's protection, Allah will throw him on his face into the Fire."

Another narration states: "Whoever prays Fajr, he is under the protection of Allah." However, the commentators of the hadith qualified this absolute statement with "in congregation," relying on other narrations. Therefore, whoever desires this virtue should strive to pray Fajr in congregation.

Allah's grace is vast. So, whoever used to perform an act of worship but became unable to do so due to illness or travel, that act of worship will be recorded for him. And whoever sleeps with the intention of performing Qiyam al-Layl (night prayer), what he intended will be recorded for him.

Accordingly, for one who consistently prays in congregation, it is hoped that he will attain this virtue even if he misses it due to an excuse such as sleep or illness.
