What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding sisters who forsake their sick father and visit him only rarely, and who demand his money while he is still alive? And what is the recompense in this world for one who is disobedient to their parents?

We ask Allah to grant your father healing, and we congratulate you on your care for him. You should think well of your sisters, advise them sincerely, and remind them of the rights of parents and kinship ties. Strive to maintain communication with them, overlook their shortcomings, and reciprocate their kindness. It is permissible to spend from your father's wealth for his treatment, but spending on him from your own wealth carries a greater reward. It is not permissible to give money from the father's wealth to his daughters while he is alive if they are provided for and not in need. However, after his death, they have a right to inheritance.
