Which is more befitting: memorizing the Qur’an oneself or teaching it to one’s children, and does one receive the full reward for teaching it to one’s children?

Firstly, combine memorizing the Quran with teaching it to your children. If the mother is unable to do so, she should start with herself first, then teach her children. Among the things that aid in memorizing and solidifying the Quran is teaching it to others. Finally, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever recites the Quran, learns it, and acts upon it, will be made to wear on the Day of Resurrection a crown of light whose brightness is like the brightness of the sun. And his parents will be clothed with two garments which the world cannot equal! They will say: 'Why have we been clothed with these?' It will be said: 'Because your child learned the Quran.'"
