The three wives of the deceased receive one-eighth, divided equally among them. His four daughters receive two-thirds, divided equally among them. The remainder goes to his sister if she is a full sister (shaqiqah) or a paternal sister (li-ab). However, if she is a maternal sister (li-um), she inherits nothing due to the presence of a lineal descendant heir (far' wārith). The deceased's nephews (sons of his brother) receive the remainder by ta'sib (agnatic inheritance) if they are sons of a full brother or a paternal brother. If they are sons of a maternal brother, they also receive nothing, and the remainder is returned to the daughters.
