What is the way to feel God's grace and bounty?

For a servant to perceive blessings and be grateful for them, he must observe Allah's blessings and favors, and witness with his heart that Allah sees him and addresses him with His beneficence. He should remind himself of Allah's bounties, as in His (Allah's) saying: "So remember the bounties of Allah that you may succeed." And he should ponder over the blessing of prayer and how Allah bestowed it upon His servants, and over His (Allah's) creation of himself and how his joints were made supple for worship. He should also know that Allah's assistance is the cause of his uprightness, as in His (Allah's) saying: "And you do not will except that Allah wills, the Lord of the worlds." The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to be mindful of these blessings in all his states, and if the servant adheres to this, he will feel the blessing.
