Is the continuous squandering of money due to calamities or helping relatives and loved ones caused by a sin that necessitates repentance?

A Muslim must repent from every sin and renew that repentance, because Allah loves those who repent, and because sins are a cause of calamities and deprivation of provision. These calamities are an expiation for sins. Therefore, a Muslim must hold himself accountable and not despair of Allah's mercy, and supplicate frequently.
