Truthfulness in selling is obligatory, while lying and deception are forbidden. Therefore, if the buyer asks about the source of the merchandise, it is not permissible to conceal it; rather, it is obligatory to inform him. This is because concealing the source is considered deception and hiding a defect in the commodity, and it may affect the decision to purchase. "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out and will provide for him from where he does not expect."
