For psychological comfort and the removal of worries, there are religious, natural, and practical causes, all of which converge in believers. Among these causes are: 1. Faith and Righteous Deeds: These guarantee a good life and a good reward in this world and the hereafter. They make the believer grateful in times of ease and patient in times of adversity, for all his affairs are good. 2. Kindness to Creation through Word and Deed: This removes worry, grief, and anxiety. The believer has a greater share in this due to his sincerity and seeking reward from Allah. 3. Engaging in Beneficial Work or Knowledge: This occupies the heart from worries and increases activity, especially if the work is something the soul finds solace in. 4. Focusing on the Present Day: And avoiding sorrow over the past or anxiety about the future, while striving and seeking Allah's help. 5. Frequent Remembrance of Allah: For by it, hearts find tranquility and chests expand. 6. Striving to Remove the Causes of Worry and Bring About the Causes of Joy: By forgetting past adversities, not worrying about the future, and relying on Allah. 7. Estimating the Worst Possibilities and Preparing for Them: Then striving to alleviate them, which reduces worries and brings benefits. 8. Strength of Heart and Not Being Disturbed by Delusions: Through reliance on Allah and trust in Him, which removes worries and ailments.

Ibn Al-Qayyim also mentioned fifteen remedies for worry and sadness, including: the Oneness of Allah (His Lordship, Divinity, Names and Attributes), clearing Allah from injustice, the servant's admission of his wrongdoing, seeking intercession through Allah's Names and Attributes, seeking help from Allah alone, hope and reliance on Him, pondering the Quran, seeking forgiveness, repentance, jihad, prayer, and disavowing one's own power and strength.
