How can the love of helping others be an act of worship, and does helping a Muslim versus a non-Muslim result in the same reward?

Loving good for people and helping them is among the greatest acts of worship and the most beloved deeds to Allah, for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The most beloved of people to Allah are those most beneficial to people." This is achieved with a sincere intention, seeking closeness to Allah. A Muslim is rewarded for doing good to people and helping them all, whether they are Muslims or disbelievers. However, the right of a Muslim is greater, and helping them is superior.
