If a man pronounces divorce while unconscious due to intoxicants, Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah chose the opinion that his divorce is not binding. However, if he divorces while conscious, three divorces become binding upon him, and his wife becomes unlawful to him until she marries another man, consummates the marriage with him, and then he divorces her. So, whoever says to his wife: "O hundred times divorced" or "You are hundred times divorced," she is divorced three times.
