How can the prohibition by God on earth that the bodies of prophets be eaten be reconciled with what appears to be the decay of the body of Yusuf, peace be upon him?

Shaykh Al-Albani answered the problem by explaining that "bones of Yusuf" refers to his entire body, as it is a case of mentioning a part to signify the whole, similar to the Almighty's saying, "and the Qur'an of dawn," meaning the dawn prayer. This is supported by the Hadith of Ibn Umar that when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, became heavy, Tamim Al-Dari said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, why don't you take a minbar that gathers or carries your bones?" He replied, "Yes, indeed." So, a minbar with two steps was made for him.
