How can the Hadith, "All of the son of Adam will decay except for the ‫’ajb adh-dhanab’ (coccyx)," be reconciled with some bodies not decomposing, or being burned, or having their coccyx removed, and how will Allah resurrect them then?

The preservation of some bodies from decay does not contradict the existence of the ajb al-dhanab (coccyx) or the hadith that states every son of Adam will decay. This is because the hadith is general, but it has been specified by evidence, such as the earth's prohibition from consuming the bodies of prophets, and those who are in their company, such as martyrs, saints, and devout mu'adhdhins (callers to prayer). Thus, there is nothing of the son of Adam that does not decay, except for whom Allah decrees the preservation of their body. It has been said that the non-decay of the ajb al-dhanab means its prolonged existence, such that it is the last part of a human to perish, or that a part of it remains even if it cannot be distinguished by the senses. Al-Qari said: "The accurate view is that the ajb al-dhanab decays eventually, but not entirely, and the tangible is not what matters, for the small part of it mixed with dust is not discernible by the senses."
