Your keenness to honor your parents and maintain kinship ties is commendable. Your marriage to the woman mentioned and your invitation to her family or town without your parents' knowledge is not considered disobedience or a religious transgression, as their knowledge or consultation is not a prerequisite, even though consulting them in marriage is better. We advise you to maintain ties with your family even if they cut you off, and to honor them even if they are harsh with you, especially your parents, striving to please them. For as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If you are as you say, then you are feeding them hot ashes, and you will continue to have support from Allah against them as long as you persist in that."
