Should a person enter the field of Islamic Ruqyah for treating possession and sorcery, given their fears of falling short in acts of obedience, lacking sufficient experience, and the possibility of jinn harming their close ones?

Ruqyah Shariah (Islamic exorcism) and treating people is a righteous and beneficial act, as it involves benevolence and aid to them, as stated in the Hadith: "Whoever among you can benefit his brother, let him do so."

However, this work should not distract a person from what is more beneficial and obligatory, such as seeking Islamic knowledge, calling to Allah, teaching people, and taking care of one's family.

A young man at the prime of his life should acquire beneficial knowledge and nurture himself, as this is better for him than entering the field of Ruqyah. This is because someone known for Ruqyah might become preoccupied with it, diverting him from more beneficial matters, and he might be susceptible to deviation if he is not fortified with knowledge and proper upbringing.

The advice is to wholeheartedly seek knowledge, acquire virtues, engage in calling to Allah, and leave the field of Ruqyah to those who cannot increase their academic achievements, especially since there are righteous people who undertake this task.
