What is the ruling on a very handsome young man who wears tight, alluring clothes to attract attention, and what is the ruling on sitting with and mingling with such a person, knowing that he who is advised to stay away from excuses himself by saying, "Allah is beautiful and loves beauty," or by not looking with lust, and is it permissible to boycott him if he is a neighbor?

It is not permissible for a man to wear clothing that describes his 'awrah (private parts) or that involves imitation of effeminate men or disbelievers. Whoever does this should repent to Allah. Those who associate with him should advise him. One must beware of associating with beardless youths (murdān), handsome boys, and effeminate men, and of being in seclusion with them, due to the potential for fitnah (temptation/strife) that this may lead to. It is not permissible to abandon (boycott) a Muslim unless there is a legitimate Shar'i (Islamic legal) justification, such as if he is an unrighteous person who does not accept advice, or if one fears fitnah for oneself from associating with him.
