Is it permissible for a woman to marry a man from another country, then return to her country for two years to arrange her husband's papers so he can come and live with her in her country?

Islamic law does not prohibit a woman from marrying a man who lives in another country. As for a woman leaving her husband's country and being absent from him for two years, the fundamental principle is to refer to what the spouses have agreed upon. The husband has the right for his wife to be with him wherever he is, and if he consents to her absence for this long period, then there is no sin. However, it is advised not to let the wife be absent for such a long period due to the potential harms and problems that may arise. Ibn Baz clarified the danger of separation between spouses and advised the husband to regularly visit his wife to ward off temptation.
