What is the origin of the word (أدى), its derivatives, and its meanings?

The word "أدَّى" (adda) means "gave," and from this comes the Almighty's saying: [So let the one who has been entrusted fulfill his trust] and the Almighty's saying: [Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to their rightful owners], and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Render the trust to the one who entrusted you, and do not betray the one who betrayed you." And "أدَّى دينه" (adda daynahu) means "he paid his debt." "الأداة" (al-adah) is the name of a tool. This word has appeared in the Quran, Sunnah, and the speech of Arabs with this meaning in numerous places.
