Is it permissible to limit oneself to some of the invocations, such as saying: "O my Lord, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me well-being, and provide for me" between the two prostrations, without mentioning "compensate me and raise my rank"? It is more complete to say the entire dhikr, but there is no harm in shortening it to some parts. Some narrations of the dhikr between the two prostrations came without the words "and mend me and raise me." In Sunan Abi Dawud and others, it is narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say between the two prostrations: "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being, guide me, and provide for me."
