Is it permissible to read about the torment of the grave and Hellfire despite warnings that doing so might lead to disbelief (kufr) and abandoning Islam?

Reading the legal texts about the torment of Hellfire and the torment of the grave is permissible and one must take heed of them to avoid the causes of torment. Allah Almighty has informed us that the Quran guides the believers and increases the losers in loss, so the misguidance of a wretched person due to reading does not affect the legitimacy of these texts.
