Is it permissible to hear the sounds of those being tormented in their graves?

The torment of the grave is among the established tenets of Islam, affirmed by the Qur’an and Sunnah. It is one of the unseen matters which Allah may disclose to some of His righteous servants, allowing certain individuals to hear or see it.
