Is a wife's obedience to her husband obligatory, and who is more esteemed by Allah Almighty, the husband or the wife, and who is entitled to the obedience of the children? And is a woman allowed to impose her opinion on her husband if she contributes to household expenses? And what is the husband's right if his wife expels him from the house she built with her money on land he gave her? And is a wife permitted to leave the house without informing her husband?

Islam obligates obedience to the husband and to the parents. Obedience to the husband takes precedence over parents when there is a conflict, and obedience to the mother takes precedence over the father.

A wife's financial contribution to household expenses with her husband is commendable, but it does not grant her the right to dispose of household matters without her husband's consent; this is because guardianship (qawamah) belongs to the man, as Allah Almighty says: "Men are in charge of women."

If a woman builds a house on her husband's land, then if the husband transfers ownership of the land to her, both the land and the house become hers. If he does not transfer ownership, he has the choice either to pay her the value of the house as dismantled material, or she pays him the value of the land.
