Which is more preferable: performing Umrah or awaiting relief through work?

The 'Umrah (lesser pilgrimage) is immediately obligatory once in a lifetime for the one who is able. This refers to someone who possesses surplus wealth beyond their essential needs and the expenses of those they support, including food, drink, clothing, housing, and transportation for the journey there and back. If the wealth is insufficient to meet these needs, then 'Umrah is not obligatory, and the Muslim should patiently wait until Allah provides for them.
