What is the way to overcome procrastination and idleness in performing Umrah?
Umrah is obligatory upon every capable Muslim once in a lifetime, and its obligation is immediate. Delaying it despite having the ability is a sin and exposes one to Allah's wrath, for what is missed does not return, and life is uncertain. One must hasten to perform it, due to its great virtue and immense reward. It is an expiation for sins committed between two Umrahs and wards off poverty and sins. The Sacred House is the dearest place to Allah, and those who yearn for it spend dearly to visit it, due to its special status. Ibn Al-Qayyim said: The Kaaba is "a resort for mankind," they return to it and never tire of it; rather, their longing increases with every visit. And the lover delights in spending wealth and lives for its sake, and leaves family and loved ones, readily enduring hardships for it.
